The room filled with both laughter and tears as over 600 Mechanchos enjoyed the first-ever “Thankquet” dinner at the 10th Annual Kinus Mechanchos Chabad. Mushky Yiftach, MC, had the crowd laughing as she led a “would you rather” teacher game. Rivka Arnold, Assistant Principal of Bnos Chomesh Academy and Bracha Caroline, Teacher at LEC Florida performed a spoken word poem that moved the crowd to tears. Mrs. Shana Teichtel, head of MEF’s Teach for Lubavitch Program spoke about how Chinuch is a Shlichus, and Teach for Lubavitch held a live graduation for this past year’s participants on stage! Noted speaker, Raizy Fried spoke about the impact of educators, especially Chabad Mechanchos. New teachers were gifted with special baskets to welcome them to the special Shlichus of Chinuch, and there were special raffles for all teachers for over 75 prizes, generously donated by businesses in Crown Heights, Florida, Israel and beyond, as a token of appreciation for our educators.
A full evening program followed the “Thankquet”, including Farbrengens led by Mrs. Dena Gorkin and Zeesy Deren, a paint night with Sara Blau and a cooking demo with Ayela Krispine.
