Heart of Chinuch In-Person Training

We are looking forward to the men’s Heart of Chinuch training with Rabbi Zalman Raskin this winter.  Please see below for information to help you book your arrangements. Please note that we will continue to update this page, as more information becomes available. 

Dates:  Sunday and Monday כ”ט טבת-א’ שבט – January 22-23, 2023

For: Heart of Chinuch Pilot Participants [Men] 

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Host: Cheder Menachem of Los Angeles

Schedule: 

Sunday’s training will begin at 12 PM and Monday’s training will end by 4 PM, to accommodate your traveling schedules.  

A more detailed schedule will be provided closer to the event.

Flights: 

Please note flights will be covered by training participants, or their schools. We recommend booking your flights ASAP for the best rates. If you need MEF’s assistance in obtaining government or other funding to cover costs, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Accommodations: 

MEF will provide accommodations at comfortable host families for our non-local participants, for the night of January 22nd. If you would like for us to arrange your overnight accommodations, please indicate that in the form below.  If you prefer to make your own arrangements, feel free to do so. 

Rides: 

MEF will provide transportation to and from your host family.  MEF will not provide transportation to and from the airports. Please be in touch with your fellow trainees to arrange sharing rides.

Meals: 

All Meals will be provided throughout the two days of the training. (All meat will be Lubavitch Hashgacha.) 

Pilot Commitment

As a participant in the pilot year of Heart of Chinuch, we strongly encourage you to join this 2-day in-person Heart of Chinuch training. The value that you will receive by being in-person will equip you with the tools you need to further the SEL in your school, as well as provide us with truer insight to the program at large. If you are not able to attend in person, we ask that you please be available to join the training virtually, via Zoom.
