Still on a high from Wednesday night’s Gala Chinuch Banquet, Mechanchos were excited to attend another day of workshops and sessions at the second day of the 9th Annual Kinus Mechanchos Chabad. With over 20 workshops, and a full day resource fair that boasted cutting-edge teaching curricula and classroom resources, Mechanchos were able to add to their teaching repertoire before the upcoming school year.
Mrs. Chanie Wilschanski, a trailblazer in school leadership and a global influencer through her podcast, began the morning with her session, “Reclaiming Your Joy: The 3 Building Blocks of Bitachon, Community, and Endurance.”
Other workshops on pertinent Chinuch topics, led by seasoned educators , took place throughout the day, including: an “Ask the Rav” session led by Rabbi Yossi Marlow, “Finding Themes and Meaning in the Topic You’re Teaching,” with Dr. Sara Rosenfeld, “Classroom Management Tips and Techniques,” with Dr Batsheva Isaacs, Ed.D, and “Getting on the Same Team: Tools for Teacher Feedback and Observations,” with Mrs Laya Salomon, Ed.D.
A lighthearted lunch provided meaningful networking and connection amongst each grade level. MC Mrs. Goldie Litvin shared her heartwarming and humorous take on Chinuch.
The final session of the Kinus Mechanchos Chabad was a truly inspirational event. Mrs. Faigie Yusewitz led rousing Yud Beis Tammuz niggunim niggunim, followed by heartwarming words from Mrs. Mushky Tuvel. Featured speaker Mrs. Devorie Kreiman captivated the educators with her talk, “Peeking through the Cracks: Letting the Joy In,” bringing everyone to the edge of their seats.
Mushka Heidingsfeld won a custom bracelet from Tzfasman Jewelers, sponsored by teacher Suri Halon in memory of her mother, lifelong educator Morah Yehudis Beitz. As the Kinus ended, each teacher received a beautiful water bottle, adding to the custom coffee mug and set of lotions gifted during the Kinus, ensuring the joy and inspiration they experienced would continue with them.
The largest-ever Kinus Mechanchos Chabad could not have been made possible without the incredible team: Rabbi Zalman Shneur, Executive Director, Chanah Rose, Educational Director, Alyson Feldman, Event Manager, Mushkie Lipsker, Kinus Program Coordinator, Etty Teleshevsky, Administrator, Bayla Rutman and Mushka Cohen, Communications Directors, and Sarah Zohar, Creative Director of the Banquet. The dedicated committee of the Kinus Mechanchos, led by the esteemed Vaad Hakinus, worked tirelessly for months to shape this Kinus into a truly joyful and memorable experience.
