Mrs. Aviva Wasser

Mrs. Aviva Wasser has spent over fifteen years as a teacher mentor and supervisor, working closely with diverse groups of faculty and staff in elementary, middle and high schools. She utilizes a blend of the Jewish New Teacher Projects mentoring model, cognitive coaching and clinical supervision. Wasser has been a university student teacher supervisor for the Azrieli Graduate School of Jewish Education and Administration for many years, and mentored students and teaching interns. She created and moderated an online student teaching seminar that makes use of the best of 21st century skills, and has mentored new teachers online for the Menachem Education Foundation.

Wasser excels in curriculum development in both elementary and high school and has helped schools move easily into the Middle States accreditation process. As Assistant Principal at the Ilan High School for Girls she coordinated the curriculum for the Limudei Kodesh department, and many general studies subjects, often bridging the gap between both departments. She mapped the curriculum for the Limudei Kodesh department for grades 1-8, at the Shulamith School for Girls in Brooklyn NY, and developed a complete Chumash curriculum for elementary and high school. She presently facilitates a curriculum development internship for the Azrieli Graduate Studies Curriculum project that is used by many teacher coaches, and is in the process of being translated into Hebrew and Arabic for use in Israeli schools.
