Thousands Gather Online for Global Mivtzah Chinuch Event

Wednesday night’s global Mivtzah Chinuch event, hosted by the Menachem Education Foundation with the Merkos Chinuch Office, gathered close to 4,000 people from around the world to hear about how each person can fulfill their role in Mivtzah Chinuch.

The immersive, online program was not only for educators, but for all men, women, teens, balabatim, educators, Shluchim, Shluchos and so many more. Additionally, the 15 speakers included Rabbanim, business professionals, Shluchim, and educators, who each unpacked how Mivtzah Chinuch applies to their individual role

Featured speakers were: Rabbi Menachem Mendel Gluckowsky, Rabbi Shais Taub, Rabbi Zalman Leib Markowitz, Rabbi Zalman Shneur, Rabbi Mendel Blau, Rabbi Mendel Gordon, Rabbi Eliyah Kholodenko, Rabbi Yaakov Shallman, Rabbi Hertzel Pevzner, Rabbi Zalmy Kudan and Rabbi Shimmy Weinbaum. Each connected an excerpt from one of the Rebbe’s Sichos about Mivtzah Chinuch to how it can be applied in each person’s daily life, whether at home, school, office, camp or in their personal growth.

Rabbi Zalmy Lowenthal of the Merkos Chinuch Office served as the MC for the evening and Rabbi Mendy Kotlarsky shared a meaningful tribute to his father, Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky, A”H, as the event was dedicated in honor of his second Yartzeit.

To bring these ideas into action, a OneMitzvah campaign was launched for participants to take on Hachlatos in Mivtza Chinuch. The Hachlatos listed included suggestions for parents, teachers, businesspeople, grandparents, camp counselors, and more, and the campaign is still ongoing for all to take part at onemitzvah.org/chinuch50.

A beautiful program guide was created for participants to follow along with the Rebbe’s words, and many shared meaningful feedback on how the messages resonated deeply with their unique positions.

“I would like to thank Menachem Educational Foundation and Merkos Chinuch Office for presenting the Chinuch program tonight,” a participant shared. “It authentically reflected the Rebbe’s approach in a most interesting and relevant way, and was applicable to each person,  whether a principal, teacher, parent or camp counselor.”

Another viewer shared that they stayed awake until three in the morning in South Africa to be part of it, and enjoyed it so much.

A bonus women’s farbrengen led by Mrs. Vivi Deren, Shlucha to Stamford, CT, followed the event, and over 100 women logged on to explore their role as the driving force behind bringing the Rebbe’s vision for Chinuch to life.

The program was a collaborative effort of the Merkos Chinuch Office together with the Menachem Education Foundation, who worked hand in hand to reach as many people as possible with the Rebbe’s message of Mivtzah Chinuch.

To view the replay of the event, visit Chabad.org/chinuch50, and take part in making the Shturem that the Rebbe demanded be made for Chinuch through a taking on a Hachlatah on onemitzvah.org/chinuch50.
