Essential duties and Responsibilities include:

• Plans and implements appropriate daily activities to meet the needs of the students in the class
• Responsibility for the safety of each child.
• Interacts with children throughout the day and encourages their interactions in the classroom.
• Provides a clean and orderly environment for the children.
• Keeps a record of each child’s progress throughout the year.
• Maintains written records and assessments on children.
• Maintains good communication with parents and follows the communication policy in the handbook.
• Adheres to all school policies and procedures.
• Assigns appropriate homework as per the guidelines set out in the faculty handbook.
• Report any student concerns, academic or social-emotional, to the Principal.
• Integrate appropriate use of technology into the classroom in order to enhance or supplement the curriculum.
